This year, from 27th July until 5th October (10 weeks), we are encouraging every member of Living Water to reach out and connect with one or two others in the church to become partners in prayer.

“The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.”  Psalm 145:8

For some partnering in prayer may feel very natural, but for others there might be a sense of uncertainty, so let’s lay out a few points for clarification:

  • Catching up for prayer could take place on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
  • It could involve a walk, a cup of coffee or a catch up in an agreed location.
  • It could be a short catch up for 30 min or an hour or more. It’s important to agree on the length of time.
  • Men with men and women with women.
  • If you aren’t sure who to partner with, then Andrea Nicholson will be able to ‘match’ you with a member of the church more familiar with prayer partnering.

Some important features of prayer partnering:

Trust: Its important to establish a sense of mutual trust & respect by being attentive in listening & considerate in speaking with one another.

Confidentiality: Its important to discuss & agree on what is confidential and what is not.
